Tubbataha reefs national park

Tubbataha reefs national park is geographically located at the heart of Coral triangle, which is global center of marine biodiversity. Upon the numerous explorations of scientists, amazing figures which are 600
species of fish and 360 species of corals (about half of global coral species) are founded. Moreover, it is the nestle of 11 species of sharks and rays and
13 species of dolphins and whales. As a result, Tubbataha reefs was inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1993 according to its oldest perfect ecological system and richness of marine biodiversity.
And it is widely recognized as one of the best diving spots of the world
by most professional divers.

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park

Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is named as
UNESCO world heritage site in 1999 and it is also listed in new
7 wonders of the world. Today, it is one of best attraction spots in Palawan and Philippines. This 8-kilometer subterranean river created
the picturesque karst limestones, mountain-to-sea ecological system, distinctive biodiversity and pristine old water. However, only 4
kilometers are allowed to be explored by the travelers. Best period to witness this world wonder is during dry season where the wave is calmer and smoother. This adventurous trip shall be the top of your itinerary when you visit Palawan.

Wreck diving in Coron Bay

It is one of the famous diving spots in Palawan where divers could
revisit the 12 historical Japanese wartime ships during the chaotic
period of second world war in 1944. All wartime ships were sunk by
the US aircrafts, and today it turns to be the underwater diving school
for both beginner and advanced divers. Recommended shipwrecked
are Irako Maru, where you can witness lot of marine life inside,
Akitsushima, where divers can explore the big old engine room, and Okikawa Maru, which is the biggest tank ship for this shipwrecked fleet.

Small lagoon where travelers have to enter via the crack of limestone wall, inside is the peaceful turquoise pool waters perfect for swimming and kayaking. Kayangan lake

Kayangan lake is crystal-clear freshwater lake surrounded by stunning limestone ciffs in Coron. Kayangan lake is the cleanest lake in the Philippines and probably be one of the cleanest in Asia. The water is so clear that people can see through to the underwater rock formations beneath the surface. Popular activities for travelers are swimming, diving and snorkeling in the mirror-like clear water to witness the marvelous rock formations and abundant marine life. Hiking is also popular activity to witness the top of mountain and travelers will be stunned by beautiful panoramic view of the area.

Island hopping

Island hopping is one of good recreational activities in Palawan. Plentiful beaches offering unforgettable experience for travelers. Famous Nacpan beach is perfect for swimming and chilling on the beach. Seven commando beaches will provide good beach lounging and snorkeling. Las cabanas beach where travelers definitely enjoy playing zipline and sunset watching. Alternatively, travelers can swim and dive to explore the beautiful of secret beach.

Crocodile Sisig

It is probably one of the famous foods in Palawan. Sisig dish normally
use pork as main ingredient, however, Palawan local uses crocodile meat as the alternative. Sisig means “to snack on something sour”. So, to create this exotic dish, crocodile meat will be marinated in a sour liquid such as calamansi juice or vinegar, then seasoned with salt, pepper, and other spices. It is one of the must-try dishes in Palawan and it could be founded in famous restaurants.

Chao Long noodles have been introduced to Palawan by the Vietnamese immigrants. This local dish is a flat and thin rice noodles with a sweet-savory broth mixed with beef or pork served with the requisite plate containing sprigs of mint and basil, raw bean sprouts, and a piece of kalamansi. It is typically served in casual roadside eateries and normal restaurants and can be enjoyed at any time of the day. It is considered as budget but delicious meal in Palawan.

By air

Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPS) is the main airport in Palawan and considered one of the busiest airports in Philippines. Air traveling is
the fastest way to reach Palawan Island from major cities in Philippines.
3 major domestic airlines, namely, Air Asia, Philippines airline, Cebu Pacific, operate daily in this route. From manila, it will usually take 1.5 hours to reach Palawan. For international flight, currently there is only one direct flight
from Hong Kong to PPS.

Traveling by Ferry from manila to Palawan, currently there is just one
ferry company operating direct Luzon-Palawan ferry service, 2GO Travel. The crossing operates up to one time a week with sailing durations approximately 11 hours. So, it is economical but not convenient to reach Palawan via ferry.
